  • Reading – read “Wilson Sat Alone” by Debra Hess on a nightly basis and complete the Reading Response Log (yellow paper) please DO NOT forget to sign the log.
  • Phonics – inflections: -ed (y to i)
  • Grammar: Telling Part of a Sentence (Predicate)
  • Writing – Wednesday (incorporate with Reading, “Wilson Sat Alone”)
  • Spelling – complete Spelling activity paper each night.
  • Math – Envisions Math (Topic 3.1 – 3.4)
    • Monday: Subtract 0, 1, 2 (3.1)
    • Tuesday: Use addition doubles facts to subtract (3.2)
    • Wednesday: Find Differences by using related addition facts to 10. (3.3)
    • Thursday: Subtract 0, 1, and 2 from a number by applying the concept of 0 less than, 1-less than, and 2-less than a number (3.4)

TESTS ON FRIDAY, October 2nd

  1. READING: Vocabulary and comprehension: “Wilson Sat Alone”

weekly objectives

Reading - I can predict what the story is about by doing picture walk and by reading the title of the story and confirm after reading the story.
Grammar – I can understand that a sentence has two part; the naming part (or the subject) and the telling part (predicate). I can write simple sentences and identifying the subjects.
