Reading - I can identify and understand the main idea of a story while reading.
Grammar – I can understand that a sentence has two part; the naming part (or the subject) and the telling part (predicate). I can write simple sentences and identifying the subjects.
Writing – I can use the “STAR and BARS” to edit my ideas in writing simple stories.
Phonics – I can read and understand action words that are in the present and past tenses. I also know how to change a verb word ending in y (in present tense) to past tense form.
Math – I can identify and model basic addition and subtraction facts using different strategies. (Topic 2)
Science/Health – none
Social Studies – I can recognize and identify using the globe what countries Hispanic speaking people come from. I can read, say, and understand Spanish words.
D.I.F. (Direct Instruction Focus) – I can decode, read, and understand words that have digraphs ( th, ch, sh).
SPELLING – I can read and understand my Spelling words.
